The SESAR Joint Undertaking welcomed six members of the US Congress’s House of Representatives on June 28th . The Delegation was lead by US Congressman John Mica, Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure. He was accompanied by fellow committee and congress members, Duncan, Holden, Richardson and Schuster, as well as the Puerto Rican House Resident Commissioner Pierluisi.

NextGen & SESAR was a key topic of discussion, and in particular, the specific set-up of Europe’s unique Public Private Partnership. Interoperability and safety were also topics that were discussed and Chairman Mica praised the on-going cooperation, underlining his hope that this strong dialogue would continue as positively in the future to achieve global interoperability.

The US delegation had an intense schedule in Brussels including a meeting with Vice President Kallas and a session with their counterparts at the European Parliament, before heading to EASA in Cologne.
