The global ATM community gathered from 8 to 10 March at Airspace World in Geneva where SESAR 3 JU with its partners showcased results from the SESAR 2020 research and innovation programme. The event also saw the JU join forces again with the “Europe for Aviation” partners, hosting a wide range of briefings, exhibits and demos, illustrating collaboration in action between the European aviation organisations working to implement the Single European Sky. In addition, Airspace World was also the backdrop to the annual gathering of the JU's members and partners, which took place on 7 March.

Europe for Aviation Theatre

Experts from the SESAR 3 JU participated in 10 sessions in the Europe for Aviation theatre, offering a thought-leadership perspective on a wide range of topics, from trajectory-based operations and controller licensing to drones, higher airspace operations and space-based ATM. The JU’s executive Director, Andreas Boschen, also took to the stage to discuss with partners on how to take advantage of the solutions already available today, which, if implemented today, could already bring 4% reduction in emissions.
