Spanish airspace

ENAIRE is the public business entity under de Ministry of Public Works that manages the air navigation in Spain with security, quality, efficiency and respect for the environment. As a major European company in ATM, controls an airspace of 2,190,000 square kilometers, consisting of the Iberian Peninsula (except Portugal), the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, and part of the North Atlantic, the Western Mediterranean and Western Sahara.

ENAIRE provides air transit services in the en route, approach phases and to the most busiest airports in Spain, as Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona- El Prat. Its 5 control centres and 22 control towers handle close to 1.8 million flights a year, which makes it one of the four largest flight navigation service provider in Europe.
