In 2013, the SESAR Joint Undertaking launched nine SESAR demonstration projects to see how RPAS could be safely operated within non-segregated airspace using existing technologies. Over a period of two years, these projects brought together operators, manufacturers, ANSPs and regulatory authorities to explore RPAS integration in real operational environments and to identify potential operational, technological and regulatory gaps. This brochure summarises SESAR RPAS demonstration projects results.
