ATM Master Plan Maintenance will keep the European ATM Master Plan up to date usig R&D results and planning and progress on Master Plan deployment. The Master Plan is the single European plan for ATM in Europe and is the bridge between deployment and R&D planning (both plans are part of the Master Plan).

The objectives of WP C are to:

  • Maintain the Master Plan information up to date and monitor the progress of development and of implementation of the Master Plan by reference to the baseline;
  • Administrate the overall process to keep the Master Plan up-to-date, and propose amendments to the SJU;
  • Prepare and maintain the short/medium term Deployment Plan (currently the ESSIP Plan) including inputs for assisting the development of local/regional performance based deployment plans as an integral and consistent part of the Master Plan;
  • Monitor and report at european level on the achievement of these local/regional plans;
  • Maintain the overall standards and regulatory roadmap from the capture of needs to the definition, development and validation of standards and rules, including the roadmap for regulatory enablers. WPC has no responsibility on the contents of the standards and regulations;

WP C will contribute to the ATM Master Plan Achievement by ensuring a seamless link between R&D and Deployment (both plans fit within the scope of the Master Plan).

WP C is divided into four sub work packages:

  • Global Co-ordination and Management
  • Administrate ATM Master Plan updates
  • Deployment/Performance/Financial planning and reporting
  • Standardisation and Regulatory Roadmaps
  • November 2011: Start of Master Plan Update Campaign
  • March 2012: Delivery of Proposed Master Plan Update
