WP 11 Flight and Wing Operations Centres / Meteorological Services
- Not yet assigned
The scope of the Flight Operations Centre Work Package covers the development of the Airspace Users operations systems required to support the implementation of the various SESAR components (e.g. adaptation to the 4D trajectory).
WP 11 will contribute to the ATM Master Plan achievement by providing:
- Technical feasibility assessment of the operational changes from an architecture and technology point of view;
- FOC system impact analysis and identification of the induced system requirement,
- Prototype development for system and operational validation.
Note: The SJU is currently undertaking a Competitive Dialogue process for WP 11 that is intended to conclude during the second half of 2010, with contract award by September 2010.
The objectives of WP 11 are to provide the system definition, validation and contribution to operational validation for a generic Airline Operation Centre's interaction with the ATM system.
All activities must be driven by operational needs and interactions with related work in other WPs. It is also necessary to address the needs and solutions for airspace users without AOC (Business Aviation and third party AOC service suppliers). The military part of this WP will be to ensure that State aircraft can get the appropriate ground system support, from Wing Operation Centre or Command and Control (C2) Centre, in order to implement the Military Mission Trajectory Concept.
WP11 will also address the meteorological service component in increasing ATM Performance seen from a transversal perspective throughout the SESAR Work Programme.
Information will follow at a later stage.
Information to follow after the initiation phase.
