Operating across five Work Packages (WP4, WP9, WP11, WP14 and WP15) Honeywell is the Air / Ground Swim project leader for the harmonization of SWIM architecture with the wider SESAR community (WP14/15) and is bringing its FMS expertise in the area of trajectory management and predictions for both commercial and business aviation (WP4). In addition, it is contributing operational and system definition/validation of the Flight Operation Centre (FOC) for business aviation (WP11) to help enable all Airspace Users to plan and execute the most efficient trajectory in line with performance requirements.

Under WP9, Honeywell’s engineers based in Brno, Prague and Toulouse are developing FMS and TCAS prototypes for flight testing and implementation of Initial 4D, Flight Deck Interval Management, Extended Hybrid Surveillance and Airport Surface Alerts. Honeywell also is conducting technology work in communication, navigation and surveillance, leading several SESAR projects in flexible communications, multi-constellation / multi frequency GNSS, future airborne ADS-B surveillance and future anti-collision systems as well as continuous climbing cruise and Combined Vision Systems (CVS) for business aviation.
