The European Aviation Summit took place in Amsterdam from 20 to 21 January bringing together transport ministers, members of the European Parliament, the European Commission and CEO’s from the civil aviation industry for the first high-level discussion of the EU Aviation Strategy.

The event was organised by the EU Dutch Presidency in collaboration with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Participants discussed a number of related topics including the aviation value chain and called for the swift implementation of the strategy. In a real-time on-line survey, SESAR was perceived as a main driver for change in aviation.

A dedicated SESAR stand presented a number of innovative projects on remote tower services and drone integration.
