Procurement
The SESAR Joint Undertaking (SJU) is a Community Body which has been established under Article 187 of the Treaty. As such, the SJU possesses its own legal personality but is distinct from Community institutions such as the Council, Parliament, Commission, etc
Therefore, the SJU is subject to the provisions of the Financial Regulation applicable to the general budget of the European Communities, the SJU Financial Regulation and the relevant directives relating to the coordination of procedures for the award of public contracts.
The SJU calls for tenders which are subject to the Public Procurement Directive 2004/18/EC for supply of goods, services and works are advertised here on the SJU website, once mandatory publication has taken place in the Official Journal of the European Union (http://ted.europa.eu).

Prior Information Notice
ATM Information and Communication Infrastructure Security Study The European ATM information and communication infrastructure must be sufficiently resilient and trustworthy to support EU goals of modernisation of the ATM sector and perspectives of growth of the European air traffic. As a result, by the end of 2012, the SESAR Joint Undertaking intends to launch a call for tender for the performance of a top-to-bottom review of the measures enforced and needed to secure the European ATM information and communications infrastructure. SESAR Integrated Remotely Piloted Air System Demonstration Activities (ref SJU/LC/087-CFP)
The SJU intends to select and co-finance around 10 projects offering SESAR integrated remotely piloted air system demonstration activities, each for a maximum duration of 24 months.
The purpose of this call for proposals is to select a number of ‘Demonstration Activities’ Projects, including integrated pre-operational flight trials activities, (the “Demonstration Projects”), which shall aim at:
- demonstrating how to integrate RPAS into non-segregated airspace in a multi-aircraft and manned flight environment, in order to explore the feasibility of integration with the wider aviation community by 2016;
- focusing on concrete results filling the operational and technical gaps identified for RPAS integration into non-segregated airspace; and
- capitalising on the SESAR delivery approach by providing synergies, risk andopportunities, with the overall SESAR programme.
The Demonstration Activities shall:
- be relevant at European scale;
- be performed in European Union and/or Eurocontrol member States;
- cover various types and sizes of RPAS, and
- be performed between the third quarter 2013 and first quarter 2015

Call for Expressions of Interest - Independent Experts (ref SJU/LC/0064-CEI)
This Call for Expressions of Interest is addressed to individuals for the establishment of a database of independent experts to assist the SESAR Joint Undertaking in the framework of the SESAR Programme.
Warning: The Specifications have been revised in such way that the areas of expertise within which the SESAR Joint Undertaking are searching for experts has been extended to also include experts within the field of “Corporate Communication internal/external".
